How to make a heart out of paper: 6 simple schemes
Lovely and romantic paper hearts are a touching gesture of attention that will delight loved ones. They can be supplemented with a gift, put inside a small souvenir or write an unusual note on them. We tell you how to quickly and easily make a neat Valentine card with your own hands!
1. Origami Heart for Beginners
Take a square sheet of thick double-sided paper and visually divide it into three parts vertically. Wrap the lower right corner two-thirds, and then clearly align both sides by one-third. Turn the part with the pocket angle down and bend down the upper half of the lower layer. You can spread the upper halves to make them more rounded.
2. Heart made of A4 paper
Mark the vertical and horizontal of a colored sheet of A4 paper and wrap the upper corners in the "house". Fold the bottom corners at the base to make a rhombus, and flip the workpiece to the opposite side. Form the halves of the heart from all sides and turn the part over again - done!
3. Volumetric paper heart
Fold a square sheet of thick paper in half to mark its axis. Lay the rectangle with the fold down and tuck its edges up, slightly not reaching the middle. Wrap the corners again, align and pull them to the center, as in the photo.
Each lower segment unfolds into an elongated pentagon-petal - these will be the sides of the heart. Flip the workpiece and form the upper roundness, squeezing to the center of the figure. Inflate a heart through a small hole in a sharp nose.
4. Heart bookmark for books
Take a rectangular sheet of bright wrapping paper and fold it in half with the plain side inward. Bend both sides “wings” up in the middle of the triangle - you will get a kind of inverted house. Turn the blank over, and then form the roundness of the heart, bending the corners - and you can already put it right on the page!
5. Paper heart with wings
You will need a square sheet of paper with a bright face and a white underside. Mark its axis, turn the lower edge to the middle and turn the part 180 degrees. Fold the triangle to the sides to make a trapezoid, and again flip the part with the white side up.
Fold the “house”, as in the diagram, unfold the blank with the colored top down and rotate the top layer up. Straighten it into a long elongated trapezoid and form wings from it with an ordinary ladder. Well squeeze them in the center to give shape, and open your heart face back.
6. Origami heart with flower
This origami paper heart seems very complicated, but it’s enough to start folding it to understand that not everything is so scary. Just stock up on a thin flat popsicle stick or nail file to straighten the petals.
Cut a paper rectangle with a 2: 1 aspect ratio, mark all the midpoints, quarters and diagonals, as in the diagram. Fold the left half of the square into triangles, and rotate the corners of its upper layer into squares. Turn the sides of the square to the middle and place each of them into a rhombus-petal using a thin tool.
Unroll the second petal of the same bottom, and then repeat everything in a circle for the other half of the heart. If desired, hide inward the lateral corners of the figure to make it more rounded. A graceful volumetric heart with a flower in the middle is ready!
